Franco Scala pupil at the Pianistic Academy of Imola, where he still lives, is the winner of numerous awards in the national and international competition including: London Piano Competition, Busoni di Bolzano, Palma d’Oro in Finale Ligure, Schubert of Dortmund, Scriabin of Grosseto, Chopin of Rome, Città of Treviso, Casagrande of Terni, Viotti of Vercelli. He carries out concert as a solo concert, in chamber music and has played over 20 concerts for piano and orchestra with prestigious formations including the Rai symphonic Orchestra, the Virtuosi of New York, the London Philharmonic Orchestra with which he made his debut at the Royal Festival Hall in London with the first Brahms concert in the presence of King Charles III of England. It has numerous recordings, for Arts of London, Fluent Records, Piano Recital and Universal Music, is a jury member of national and international competitions and has been active in the didactic field for over 25 years. He writes for the magazine Suonare news,he is the artistic director of the International Palma d’Oro Piano Competition in Finale Ligure/Donzdorf,  and the Yapco Under 18 of Finalborgo, professor and director of the Atheneum Piano School of Finalborgo (SV). He is the owner of the main piano chair at the Gioacchino Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro. Since December 2015 it is Steinway Artist. Since 2022 he has been publishing for the Halidon Music label.
